Dear students,
So far you have been asked to reflect on an important icon that relates to psychology, to predict a definition of the term and to account for difference between your definition and formal ones. Then you looked at images of well known contributors to the field and you connected any prior learning you have, and you looked at a timeline that shows key moments in the development of psychology. Here is an opportunity for you to slow down, and ask any questions you have at this point about the topic of psychology, parts of activities you have done, or anything that has come up in the readings you have done in any of the sections.
Please add this subheading to your notes: Activity 5
Spend a few minutes reading through your notes, filling in any gaps, and thinking about the activities you have participated in so far. What have you learned from them? The process of questioning will be extremely important to your success in this course, and many of our discussions and activities in class will centre around the important process of questioning. Look at the image below 'Strategic Questioning'. Please note how this process of questioning leads on to deeper learning.
Please consider what you have learned so far, and write down at least 2 questions you have at this point. When you have your questions to ready to share, please move to the last activity 'My Reflection'...
